Vitec Group

Challenge

When I joined, Vitec had been already on a course to redesign their existing websites and give them an eCommerce approach. In the first few months I had a chance to work with product managers, do a lot of research and learn about the company structure, goals, products and customers.

I learned a lot about this particular industry, company's history and current situation. A lot has changed since William Vinten, a mechanical engineer from London began manufacturing Kinemacolor projectors for Charles Urban. Nowadays cinematographer's gear is more accessible and also becoming a cinematographer is much more easier. Vitec's main goal is to maintain their reputation for their products quality and also to educate the younger generation.

Biggest chalenge over here was to give similar vibe to all 16 brands, understand their individual needs and customers.

The Vitec Group family includes:

antonbauer
autocue
autoscript
bexel
sachtler
litepanels
oconnor
cameracorps
smallhd

The idea was to grab customers' attention and focus on product categories. Allowing them quick access to all eCommerce related functionalities and also give them an opportunity to customise their set of items in regards to the camera they have.
